    SPRING 2024 COMPETITION

    The Spring 2024 Texas Champion was NovaBuild, which was awarded the top prize of $15,000 for its software platform, powered by computer vision and deep learning, that offers a way for robotics solutions startups to collaborate with the nation’s largest factories to reshape the future of advanced robotics in manufacturing.

    FALL 2023 COMPETITION

    The Fall 2023 Texas Champion was Tano Pharmaceuticals, which was awarded the top prize of $15,000 for the first commercial skincare and medical products based on a revolutionary new ingredient: sap from banana trees.

    SPRING 2023 COMPETITION

    The Spring 2023 Texas Champion was Hamperapp, which was awarded the top prize of $15,000 for their online platform that streamlines the laundry and dry cleaning process with convenient pick-up and delivery services.

THIS COMPETITION IS THE REAL DEAL

The Texas Venture Labs Investment Competition (TVLIC) mimics the real-world process of raising venture capital. Graduate students from the University of Texas System present their ideas for new businesses and receive invaluable feedback from entrepreneurs and investors. Many TVLIC competitors launch successful businesses, including uShip, Ordoro, BeatBox Beverages, Phurnace Software and Qcue.
